About WiTWINtake solution
WiTWINtake is a cooperation between Elmibit and PRONET, established partners in their respective fields, the pilot winery Radgonske Gorice, and supported by the HIGHFIVE initiative. Elmibit specializes in software for grape production and early processing, while PRONET focuses on broad business and accounting software, and provides specific business software solutions for the wineries covering various business operation aspects in wine production. The pilot installation at the Radgonske Gorice demonstrates the optimization across multiple aspects and stages of wine production.
Namely within WiTWINtake several software solutions were connected from vineyard management (eVineyard) to business software (AccountingBox) in order to connect vineyard records, winery data including cellar and financial data, so all key information flows automatically and accurately. That means less manual data entry, fewer errors, and more time for what matters—making great wine. Wineries can now trace the wine from the vineyard it came from through to bottling. This level of integration doesn’t just help with internal coordination. It can support marketing, quality certifications, and compliance by providing clear records of wine ingredients origin, handling, and processing. It also helps with strategic decisions thanks to real-time data and insights that were previously hard to capture or connect.
WiTWINtake technology solution
The WiTWINtake tool combines the innovative, modular system built on digital twin technologies by integrating the eVineyard, AccountingBox, expert grape intake control and cellar diary solutions into a common digital twin based system. The presented solution is designed based on the principles of Data spaces around the Context Broker and NGSI-LD standardized API for connecting generic enablers and custom-made modules. As it was built using open technologies, it ensures that it can be integrated with other software environments and expanded according to a winery’s specific needs. This makes it a practical and forward-looking solution for other wineries looking to modernize their operations, reduce manual data entry, improve decision-making, and meet the increasing demands for quality assurance and sustainability.
